Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham was launched to reinforce literary, social & cultural values in the field of Telugu literature. Established in 2003, Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham is named after the literary stalwart Shri Vishwanatha Sathyanaryana a well known writer in Telugu literature. His works like ‘Ramayana kalpavriksham‘ and ‘Veyipadagalu’ are considered to be on par with the classics of national and international repute.

Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham is named after "telugu vari muddu bidda" Vishwanatha Satyanarayana as a tribute to his literary genius. Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham aims to offer translated works of writers not only from Telugu, but also from other Indian languages in English. To promote literary works of all eminent writers in all Indian languages and in English is another main objective of the Peetham. Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham has relaunched Jayanti a magazine which was published by Viswanatha Sathyanarayana for this specific purpose. Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham wishes to encourage translators and research scholars and is striving to establish a library to facilitate research. One of the aims of Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham is to reach out to connoisseurs of literature not only nationally but also internationally. Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham proposes to conduct seminars on writers, poets and critics from time to time and has instituted awards to be awarded to the best Telugu writer and translator. The details are being worked out. The procedures are being evolved.

Vishwanatha Sahithya Peetham welcomes donations and contributions to strengthen and augment its activities. Contributions and donations can be made in kind or cash.

It welcomes contributions of books, equipments and also assistance to its quarterly journal JAYANTHI and other publications.

Contributions of award winning English and Telugu books including translations are also welcome.
